OK, it is not actually in Manhattan, but if you were to leave the island,

this would be the place to go. You could spend the entire day

in this 52 acre expanse of some of the best flora and fauna north

of the Mason Dixon line. Don’t miss the Osborne Garden at the

Eastern Parkway entrance, a beautiful Italian formal garden spanning

three acres. You can take the 2, 3 to the Brooklyn Museum stop

straight from Manhattan. Maybe bring a picnic or else you could

pay $10 for a dried up cheese sandwich from their “café”.
